About Us
Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8)
On behalf of all the staff and governors, I should like to extend to you a very warm welcome to St. Andrew’s Southgate Primary School and to share with you, in a few words, what makes our school so special.
At St. Andrew's Southgate we have a love of learning and strive to nourish the God-given potential of each individual.
As a one form entry primary school with a maximum roll of 210 pupils, we enjoy a uniquely close, supportive and inclusive school community where each child is known, valued and respected as an individual.
Background to School
St. Andrew’s first opened its doors to local children in 1863 and today our mission remains clear, to serve our local community by providing a first class primary education experience which allows our children to enhance their own lives and the lives of others. Our close links with St Andrew’s Church provide the backbone to this endeavour, rooting us in our shared vision to embody the love of Jesus Christ and to reflect the infinite value of each individual.
Our Curriculum vision
At St. Andrew’s we aim to work with parents to prepare pupils to become productive, thoughtful and responsible members of society. We achieve this through a rich and engaging curriculum designed to promote critical thinking and to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our core values of respect and faith help pupils to develop their character, build resilience and take their place as global citizens capable of making a meaningful and positive impact in their lives and the lives of others.
I hope that you find what you need on our website and please accept my personal invitation to visit us on one of our school tours or stay and play events. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
