Learning
Our Curriculum vision
At St. Andrew’s, we aim to work with parents to prepare pupils to become productive, thoughtful and responsible members of society. We achieve this through a rich and engaging curriculum designed to promote critical thinking and to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our core values of respect and faith help pupils to develop their character, build resilience and take their place as global citizens capable of making a meaningful and positive impact in their lives and the lives of others.
Our curriculum offer includes a wide range of activities and opportunities to enrich the children’s learning. These include:
- Educational visits to art galleries, museums, places of worships and farms to enrich topics,
- Forest School
- Music lessons
- Residential visits
- Extra-curricular activities like a wide range of sporting opportunities
- Visitors from the local community
- Our ‘Out and About Project’, where we support the local community
- School performances and Christian celebrations
- Special days to enrich learning e.g. World Book Day, National Science Week, Art Week and Number Day.
